With 2023 revenues of $20\.4 billion, we are a Fortune 500 company who is committed to providing an inclusive work environment with continuous learning opportunities and development for our teams\. **Sourcing Manager \(dd's Home\)** **About This Opportunity\.\.\.\.** The Sourcing Manager \(dd's Home\) provides sourcing and operational expertise on all aspects of the Product Life Cycle from strategy to development to delivery\. Reporting to Senior Director of Sourcing, this role is the liaison between the Agent/Vendor/Overseas office and the Merchant team that manages critical deliverables\. The Manager will drive delivery of product that is in line with the dd's brand aesthetic, quality and value\. This position is Hybrid, 4 days per week in our NYC office\. The base salary range for this role is $93,000 to $105,000\. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location\. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees\. Other rewards vary by position and location\. **What you will do and learn:** + Manage Sourcing and Product Development for various hard home products' life cycles from initial development through shipment\. + Anticipate potential problems and risks; generate ideas, insights and solutions to resolve or avoid potential problems; proposes solutions to leadership\. + Demonstrate a critical eye for product and supplier sourcing capabilities\. Receive, organize, and assess samples for aesthetic and overall quality\. + Own product costing and cost engineering\. + Monitor milestone calendars and ensure that deadlines are met, issues are flagged and updates to the team are timely\. + Facilitate effective communication with vendors and agents to ensure timely shipments; troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise\. + Maintain current product/market knowledge by shopping the competition; make assortment recommendations\. Demonstrate understanding of price/value relationship\. + Research and develop new resources and creative methods of sourcing product to impact the assortment\. + Partner with Director/VP on the onboarding of new suppliers/ countries/ factories\. + Provide relevant data to merchants for PO issuance and ensure accuracy before sending completed PO to vendor\. + Own continual development and refining of workflow, processes and tools in partnership with the Director/VP\. + Establish and cultivate strong relationships with all internal and external business partners\. **What you need to be successful:** + Bachelor's degree or commensurate required + 5\+ years related experience in Product Development/Sourcing/Merchandising within a large retail chain \(Participation in a retail training program a plus\) + Knowledge of the product development and production process and technical aspects of hard home goods category \(e\.g\., Materials, machinery and etc\.\) + Demonstrated proficiency in negotiating and influencing skills and retail math + Experience communicating with international partners\.
