Job Description
The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within our healthcare facility. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
The EVS Tech will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning non-occupied patient rooms, which includes deep cleaning, making the bed, flipping the mattress, and disinfecting the entire room. They will also manage the disposal of linens by placing them into a large, heavy bag and transporting it to the chute. Additional responsibilities include cleaning surgical areas, emergency rooms, common areas and isolation rooms by following strict safety measures, which require wearing a full gown and mask, and thoroughly mopping and cleaning the entire room.
ResponsibilitiesClean non-occupied patient rooms thoroughly, including deep cleaning tasks.Make beds and flip mattresses in patient rooms.Disinfect entire rooms and manage linen disposal in large, heavy bags.Clean isolation rooms following strict safety protocols, including wearing protective gear.Thoroughly mop and clean isolation rooms.Essential SkillsStrong attendance record.Punctuality and reliability to work required hours and shifts.Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, nurses, doctors, and the housekeeping team.Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work with difficult individuals.At least 1 year of previous hospital or hotel cleaning/housekeeping experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsDirect experience in hospitals is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position is set in a hospital environment where employees primarily work independently, emphasizing the importance of being self-starters. The culture requires professionalism with guidelines such as no facial piercings, covering tattoos, and avoiding heavy fragrances.
The work schedule is the second and third shift: from 8:00pm to 4:30am or 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.00/hr.
