Job Summary

\n

The Speech Language Pathologist 1 plans and gives speech language pathology services. This includes evaluation, treatment, and education programs for patients to restore speech, language, and swallowing abilities.

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nEvaluates, treats and monitors patient within the speech pathology treatment plan. Modifies therapy program and goals.\nPerforms thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows reimbursement related to practice setting.\nCommunicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.\nSupervises students and volunteers. Clinical fellowship mentors and those in their clinical fellowship period follow the American Speech Language Hearing Association supervision guidelines.\nAdvances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and evidence-based practice. Imparts knowledge to develop colleagues' clinical skills. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.\nMaintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.\n\n

Key Success Factors

\n\nMust have completed Clinical Fellowship Year.\nMust possess excellent social relation skills to include excellent oral and written communication skills.\nMust demonstrate aptitude in assigned areas as specified for each clinician.\nExhibits proven cooperation and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team. Assures excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.\nPossesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.\nHigh attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment.\nAbility to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS

\n\nEDUCATION - Masters'\nEXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience\nCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -\n\n

 Speech Language Patohlogist (SLP)

 Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
