Description We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. This role offers a blend of on-site and remote work, making it ideal for professionals seeking flexibility. Based in Montague, Michigan, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting key accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post monthly journal entries to ensure accurate financial records. • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts to maintain data integrity. • Assist with the preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing financial data. • Provide audit documentation and support to ensure compliance with review processes. • Perform routine accounting tasks, including monthly close activities, to meet organizational deadlines. • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and create financial reports. • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all accounting-related functions and reporting. • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis. • Ability to perform month-end close activities with accuracy and attention to detail. • Familiarity with general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation processes. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities. • Strong analytical abilities and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
