Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing critical financial processes, ensuring accurate account reconciliations, and maintaining the integrity of financial records. Responsibilities: • Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies. • Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts to maintain the integrity of financial data. • Manage and maintain the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries. • Assist with month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyze financial data and create reports. • Work with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to streamline accounting operations. • Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve financial processes. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries. Requirements • Proven experience in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use advanced functions for data analysis. • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP. • Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
