Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Lewisville, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing critical accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to the organization’s overall financial health. This position provides a great opportunity to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders while driving accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate and systematic financial records, ensuring all transactions are documented properly. • Process invoices and payments in a timely and efficient manner. • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and other reports. • Lead the month-end close process by reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries. • Support budgeting efforts through accurate forecasting and detailed financial analysis. • Conduct audits of financial data to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. • Collaborate with auditors and tax professionals by providing necessary documentation and support. • Perform variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. • Supervise and guide accounting staff as the business grows. • Manage relationships with financial service vendors and coordinate the audit process from start to finish. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a corporate setting. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Exceptional analytical abilities and attention to detail to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders. • Familiarity with month-end close processes, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
