Position summary:
Reporting to the Director of Commercial Strategy & Insights, the Sr. Category Commercial Manager leads the execution of the Annual Operating Plan for their assigned brands. They work closely with the brand pillar teams to implement channel standards and provide execution direction and commercial tools (MAPS) to our sales & retail field sales organization. They understand and monitor key drivers of category, brand, and customer sales for their assigned brands, building plans/recommendations to achieve business objectives. The position offers a unique experience because of the opportunity to influence and develop strong sustainable relationships throughout different departments within the organization.
Organization: Key internal stakeholders include Marketing, Sales, Demand Planning, Customer Insights & Analytics, Sales Operations, Revenue Growth Management, and Brand and Sales Finance
Responsibilities:
Deliver assigned financial and strategic goals by accomplishing customer and channel strategies and plans.
Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development and lead implementation and tracking of AOP (base + innovation) through sales team.
Lead the agenda and develop guardrails to ensure execution of MAPS (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, and Shelving) in collaboration with Marketing, Insights and Revenue Growth Management.
Establish customer specific new item targets (Slotting Fees /Distribution goals/ Shelving Recommendations).
Create scorecards and interpret data to develop insights, identify risks and create opportunities, strategies, and or action plans, associated with execution fundamentals (MAPS - Merchandising, Assortment, Shelving, and Pricing).
Create progressive sell decks relevant to customers, guided by data and insights for assigned brands. Assist in delivery of progressive sell decks when required to customer network.
Develop relationships throughout the organization and provide customer and brand business development opportunities, leadership, and solutions.
Give guidance on product allocation and promotional changes to CLO team where supply constraints exist.
Act as main contact for customer teams for all Consumer and Brand Strategy activities, bringing the perspective of brand and sales together.
Participate in trade approval process, working towards brand strategy within budgeted trade rates.
Provide CBP (customer business planning) session assistance, negotiation support, and collaboration to sales team.
Support execution for customer long-term business building sessions.
Peer coach to inspire and motivate other sales team members.
Provide continuous improvement leadership through bringing forward best practices, tapping into US/International departments.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:
A University Degree. An MBA is an asset.
7 or more years of progressive sales and/or marketing experience in the CPG industry
Familiarity with the Canadian marketplace and the dynamic that exists between brands, retailers and consumers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade diverse audiences across the organization at all levels.
Must be comfortable presenting both internally and externally to large and small audiences
Strong financial, quantitative, and analytical skills, using metrics to drive results
Strong experience owning a P&L and strong knowledge of how to utilize the P&L to grow brands
Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to ensure end-to-end execution is meeting deadlines and performance expectations
Must succeed working individually and as a member of a team; ability to quickly create new relationships.
Enterprise-wide mindset - strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead enterprise-wide programs.

Compensation:
Pay Range:$98,000-$146,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
