What you will own:

Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional business requirements

Harden, optimize, and productize ETL logic created by analysts to support business needs

Maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, including looking for and proposing improvements to the existing architecture

Engage with and bring insights to current projects 

Assist analyst teams in identifying and gathering the best data to use to answer business questions

Work to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability

Work with business leaders to integrate new data sources and software solutions into the reporting environment

What you will need be successful:

Advanced working SQL and relational database knowledge 

Advanced working knowledge of modern cloud based data pipeline architecture (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks)

Advanced working knowledge of Python, JS, or, another data-focused programming language

Experience building and optimizing data pipelines in a near real-time environment

Experience working with data ingestion tools or API integrations to pull data from and push data into various business software solutions

Experience working directly with business process owners and analysts to create and maintain purpose-built data infrastructure

Strong project management and organizational skills

Ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and propose changes without specific instructions

Excellent collaboration skills - ability to work effectively as part of a team

6+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role

Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another data-centric discipline, or equivalent work experience.
