Description:
Job title: Senior Product Manager– Web Platform & CMS
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Duration: Initial 3-month contract (with potential extension depending on FMLA return)
Overview
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to support the evolution and scalability of our web platform—focusing on performance, content governance, authoring experience, and future-proofing the infrastructure that supports our digital ecosystem.
You will partner closely with marketing, engineering, and platform teams to deliver enhancements that enable efficient content operations, ensure consistency across experiences, and lay the groundwork for long-term growth and integration.
This role requires strong technical fluency, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. Familiarity with Sitecore, enterprise CMS platforms, and marketing technology integration is essential.
We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our digital marketing team. This role fills a critical gap due to an unplanned leave and will support the Ascension Digital Home Pod, which manages the core Sitecore-based infrastructure for Ascension.org—our primary digital marketing channel.
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead platform enhancements that improve content governance, authoring workflows, and long-term scalability.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the health and evolution of products within the web platform portfolio
• Understand and align product development with business vision, values, KPIs, and stakeholder needs
• Create and maintain product roadmaps that reflect strategic priorities and technical feasibility
• Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the product team, managing expectations and ensuring alignment
• Define and implement improvements in content modeling, publishing workflows, governance, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, engineering, architecture, content ops) to scope, prioritize, and execute roadmap initiatives
• Define, instrument, and measure key product analytics to evaluate impact and drive business outcomes
• Manage the backlog and roadmap for CMS tooling and infrastructure enhancements
• Partner with stakeholders to improve the authoring experience in Sitecore
• Support discovery and planning for future enhancements such as personalization, localization, and multi-language enablement
• Provide clear documentation, demos, and stakeholder communication
Required Experience & Skills
• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in platform or CMS-focused roles
• Strong understanding of enterprise website architecture and content management systems (preferably Sitecore)
• Experience improving content governance, authoring workflows, or publishing tools
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineering and marketing to balance scalability and usability
• Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies, metrics, and KPIs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to drive clarity and alignment
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, a positive mindset, and a collaborative spirit
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with headless CMS architecture or transitioning from monolithic to modular platforms
• Familiarity with martech integrations (e.g., DAM, personalization engines, A/B testing)
• Exposure to accessibility compliance, SEO, or page speed optimization
