Description
We are in the process of recruiting a Staff Accountant for our team situated in San Francisco, California. The primary responsibilities of this role include handling accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. Responsibilities:
+ Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries across multiple entities.
+ Post month-end journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
+ Prepare and analyze financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually), including P& L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
+ Perform and review timely bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
+ Support tax equity partners by preparing financial reports and reviewing contracts.
+ Oversee project accounting, including tracking costs, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis.
+ Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in line with company policies.
+ Visit the San Francisco office to handle check deposits and banking tasks through remote access systems.
Requirements
+ 3–5+ years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping roles.
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
+ Prior corporate accounting experience is essential.
+ Proficient in journal entries and month-end close processes.
+ Solid knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
+ Experienced with accounting systems and ERP platforms (Sage Intacct experience is a bonus).
+ Comfortable working within multi-entity organizational structures.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
+ Able to work independently and meet deadlines without close supervision.
+ Highly organized with a keen eye for detail; capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
+ Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
+ Demonstrated creative and analytical problem-solving abilities.
