Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including financial reviews, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive financial reviews on a monthly basis, focusing on acquisitions and related transactions. • Prepare and reconcile balance sheets, bank statements, and account trends to maintain accurate financial records. • Compile, document, and reconcile inventory counts on a quarterly basis for acquired entities. • Generate essential reports and participate in monthly accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate ledger closings. • Investigate and resolve inquiries related to general ledger accounts and provide detailed responses as needed. • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal company policies. • Oversee vendor setup processes in Oracle Fusion, gathering necessary information to maintain accurate records. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required. • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in an accounting role is required; 1-2 years is preferred. • Proficiency in accounting software, including Oracle and SAP, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger processes. • Familiarity with internal and external audit requirements and processes. • Experience with journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
