Staff Accountant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Long Beach, California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, handling a variety of financial and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in finance, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities: • Prepare and manage journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. • Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts. • Oversee fixed asset accounting, maintaining accurate records and schedules. • Assist in processing payroll entries and provide support for accounts payable and receivable functions as needed. • Collaborate on intercompany transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation. • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP to maintain financial records and reports. • Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making processes. • Support audits by preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries. • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles. • Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP. • Prior experience in the manufacturing or a related industry is strongly preferred. • Proficiency in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger functions. • Knowledge of Business Central and/or Power BI is a significant advantage. • Experience with intercompany transactions and fixed asset management. • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
