Ready to revolutionize healthcare software delivery? Are you passionate about improving developer experience and introducing new technologies to improve end-to-end software development? Are you an expert already on GitHub and AWS? Do you love infrastructure and build as code using modern CI/CD technologies such as GitHub Actions?
Then, this looks like a great opportunity for you to join our Philips Platform Engineering Services team and shape development practices and technologies for thousands of developers.
Your role:
Design and implement platform services that automate regulatory compliance artifacts—such as DHF auto-generation, traceability matrices, and audit logs—integrated directly into CI/CD pipelines prioritizing a seamless Developer Experience.
Collaborate with Quality & Regulatory teams to offer self‑service automation (e.g., BDD frameworks, executable specifications) that replaces manual tests, paper‑based approvals, and ticket‑driven handoffs optimizing release process and software delivery.
Act as a key advocate for new platform technologies, leveraging your knowledge to influence strategic decisions and shape the future of our software development, such as the adoption of AI Code Assistants at scale.
Develop and maintain our Internal Developer Portal (IDP) using Backstage to provide self-service access to platform services and resources.
Act as a Role Model. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Ensure code quality and best practices through linting, automated unit testing (preferably using TDD), and pairing or mob programming.
Lead and conduct Software Craftsmanship and Release Optimization assessments to identify areas for improvement in SDLC practices within internal teams at Philips.
Foster a culture of transparency and collaboration through InnerSource practices, encouraging contributions from business units.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, emphasizing the importance of Developer Experience in all aspects of software development
You're the right fit if:
12 years+ professional experience in medical software development with proficiency in at least one programming language beyond scripting (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, or C++).
Experience with regulated medical software delivery—including DHF auto-generation, traceability, and maintaining audit‑ready compliance in environments such as FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, or ISO 13485.
Experience automating compliance and regulatory processes, such as using test automation frameworks (BDD, TDD) to ensure software quality and regulatory adherence without manual intervention
Proficiency in core GIT concepts and solid, fresh hands-on experience with modern CI/CD technologies such as GitHub Actions.
Hands-on experience on creating and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/AWS preferred).
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience providing Platform Engineering services at scale in an Enterprise is a plus
