Responsibilities
Assists with the operation of the sterile cores, guide instrument and scope processing and managing supplies. These responsibilities include:
Coordinates and performs daily activities that support the surgical practice.
Supervises Central Service technicians assigned to the sterile cores, processing and supplying areas.
Maintains inventory and instrumentation.
Supervises the cleaning and sterilization process according to established standards.
Assists with the teaching, counseling and evaluating of staff.

Qualifications
High school graduate or GED required. A minimum of one year of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting required.
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrates knowledge of care and handling of instrumentation. Demonstrates effective interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrates knowledge of resource management. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge.Three years current Central Service experience preferred. Graduation from an accredited and/or hospital approved sterile processing program preferred. Advanced Central Services Technician certification preferred. Previous Team Lead Instrument Technician experience preferred.Certification/Licensure
Certified Central Service Technician Certification required.Exemption Status
