Strategic Account Manager, Transportation
**Overview** We are seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager to join our team that can hit the ground running. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts to achieve Stryten’s business goals. You will also work in partnership with our regional sales managers to increase Stryten’s sales and profitability. As a Strategic Account Manager, you should be organized, able to analyze sales performance metrics, have good negotiation skills and the ability to build and foster long-term relationships with customers. This position can be managed remotely from a home office with occasional trips to Alpharetta, GA (Headquarter location) and customer visits which requires 30% travel. You will be assigned one or two major accounts with the expectation of growing the business within the accounts. To meet and exceed our expectations, the successful candidate will bring a solid, in-depth, knowledge of the transportation battery business, as well within the retail automotive aftermarket. You should be able to understand how to manage the requirements and strategies of large retail accounts. You will need to represent Stryten as a professional, knowledgeable, and ethical employee. If you like to work hard, take initiative, be creative, are a strategist, and have established relationships who count on you for their continued success, this would be an ideal fit for you! **Responsibilities** + Network with key accounts to identify and address specific needs. + Develop account plans while working with Stryten’s sales, product marketing, forecasting, finance, customer service, and operations teams to fully execute company goals. + Develop strategies that enable Stryten to optimize efficiency and profitability targets. + Assist to control working capital, including overdue accounts receivables and operate within company guidelines. + Forecast and track sales activity for assigned accounts. Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales. Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met. + Advise in the development of national sales tools and complete projects and reports in a timely fashion. Liaise with the Marketing department to set and implement strategies for new products. + Perform additional tasks and functions as determined by the Director of Sales and VP of Sales; examples include, but are not limited to, representing Stryten at trade shows, helping train new account managers, and presenting at sales meetings. **Qualifications** + BS Degree in business or a related field is required. + Five (5) years of previous Major Accounts Selling and a minimum of one (1) year automotive aftermarket industry required. + Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills are essential + An outstanding track record of, influencing others and decisions while making a positive impact. + Energy, initiative, and results orientation. + A progressively responsible career history and demonstrated success in territory sales or key account management. + A high level of business acumen and the quantitative/analytical capacity to understand complex sales processes. + Skills to effectively use CRM tools in managing opportunities, win/loss of projects, and target objectives + Strategic selling skills, effective negotiating skills, and commitment to customers are required. + Collaborative work style, one that solicits ideas and shares information to develop creative solutions and winning strategies across the Stryten sales organization. + Resourcefulness and creativity, with excellent time management and organizational skills. + Technical competency and be PC proficient, including Salesforce.com, standard business software and the Internet. + Integrity, team orientation and desire to over achieve Environment & Physical Demands + The position is based out of the employee’s home office. A reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace are necessary. + The job requires the ability to move around the client sites, including walking, standing. + The role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and speaking on the phone.
