Job Description
We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer with 3+ years of experience for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have commercial project experience and will split their time between our technology and commercial engineering sectors. This role involves managing and designing applicable projects and offers a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
ResponsibilitiesProvide technical guidance and training/mentoring of design resources in all areas of work associated with structural engineering.Design, perform structural calculations, interact with clients, and oversee projects on all assigned structural engineering work.Manage all managerial and administrative aspects of projects, including scheduling, quality control, design review, and proposal preparation.Provide direct daily management and technical training to team members assigned to projects.Review shop drawings, submittals, and redlines, and interpret engineering specifications.Coordinate with all disciplines involved, including outside consultants and contractors.Participate in meetings with customers and owners to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas.Build relationships with potential and existing clients to procure new work.Establish and improve standards, practices, and guidelines for the discipline area.Act as the Engineer of record.Essential Skills3+ years of structural design experience in the consulting engineering industry.Bachelor’s degree minimum (Master's degree preferred) in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.Proficiency with engineering-related programs such as RISA3D, Enercalc, Etabs, BlueBeam.Good understanding of the construction process and construction documents.Familiarity with NDS, AISC, ASCE 7, ACI, and International Building Codes.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.High attention to detail.Solid writing and organizational skills.Understanding the importance of excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.Ability to work in a clean room environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with structural analysis, project management, and design using AutoCAD and Revit.Experience with structural steel and steel structures.Ability to work in a team and possess commercial project experience.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr.
