Job Description

Execute engineering best practices on a wide variety of projects, adapting quickly to new environments. Design and analyze structural systems for buildings, including reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, cold-formed metal framing, and wood framing. Design and study foundations and site infrastructure elements, such as shallow foundations, deep foundations, retaining walls, pedestrian bridges, and pavements. Create 3-dimensional models of building structures using Revit software in collaboration with client Building Information Models (BIM).

ResponsibilitiesActively involved in all structural project aspects including design/study development, construction management, project management, RFI's/RFPs/Submittals, and client meetings as needed.Assist Senior -LevelStructural Engineers and Project Managers in the production of project plans, specifications, scheduling, budgeting, technical memorandums, and cost estimates.Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation, and assessment for infrastructure projects.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, cities/clients, and other public agencies.Essential SkillsProficient in Revit with 2 years of experience working within a building structural environment.Strong skills in design, structural engineering, and structural analysis.Excellent calculation abilities.Experience with RISA and Intercalc.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural engineering with 2-5 years of relevant work experience.Proficient with Excel and Blue Beam or ability to learn quickly.Decisive with excellent critical thinking skills.Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing and giving presentations and interpreting reports.Must be flexible, well-organized, accountable, and dependable.Physically able to perform work in the field.Work Environment

Initially, the role requires about 5 days in the office, transitioning to 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. The work environment is team-oriented with ample communication, emphasizing a close-knit and comfortable group. The division is very flexible and understanding, recognizing that life comes first, and values communication and career-oriented growth and development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.06 - $38.46/hr.
