Posting Details Posting Information Requisition 202500201ST Title Student Employee-Math/Stat Office-Assistant (Temporary) Employee Class Student employee College Work Study Position No Department Dept of Mathematics and Statistics Division Division of Academic Affairs Hours per week up to 28 hours a week Hiring Rate $11.00 Preferred Student Classification Junior, Senior, Graduate Student Nature & Purpose of Position This is a temporary Student Assistant position starting June 1, 2025 and ending August 20,2025. The student will provide professional assistance to office staff and the department chair. This includes being the first point of contact for all visitors to the office. The student employee will have frequent contact with students, and they will respect FERPA guidelines. Student employee should be organized, punctual, pays attention to detail, understands confidentiality, and self-motivated.
Job Duties, but not limited to: Assist in moving boxes and helping set up offices Greeting each guest and directing them accordingly Answering phone at front desk Maintain work room and breakroom with needed supplies Distribute mail Process copy jobs (very little during summer) Assist in updating signages around floor before fall semester Other duties as assigned Other Requirements for the Position Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
