Seeking a Substation P&C Designer/Engineer to join our Substation Engineering team.
The Substation P&C Engineer serves as an engineer, NOT LEAD, on electric substation design projects for high-voltage utility systems and renewable energy interconnection projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs all aspects of design for high voltage (4kV – 230kV) and EHV (above 230kV) substation projects.Development of One-line diagrams,Three-line diagrams, Potential and current schematics, Control schematics, Alarm schematics, Communications schematics, Wiring DiagramsWork seamlessly with a P&C Designer to develop the above listed schematics as well as the associated wiring diagrams.Serves as a technical specialist for system protection and communication and has knowledge and skillset to provide consultation and guidance to project teams.Qualifications Include:
Protection and control specifications (Preferred)I/O mapping (Preferred)Points mapping (Preferred)Relay settings (Preferred)Documentation for Design CalculationsConstruction Documentation (Sequence and RFP)Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-Accredited)3+ Years direct Substation P&C Design Engineering experienceAutoCAD and/or Microstation ExperienceSDS (Substation Design Suite) Experience preferredStrong familiarity with the NEC and National Electrical Safety CodePay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
