Transdev Services, Inc. - Job Description Job Title: Supervisor, Fare Revenue Position Type:Non-Exempt Reports to:Manager, Fare Revenue This is an important position in the Fare Revenue section of Transdev’s Brokerage office for the SFMTA’s SF Paratransit Program. It is critical to many day-to-day accounting functions related to fare revenue collection, customer debit card account services, financial reporting and other reporting of metrics and key performance indicators. General Job Responsibilities: Position is responsible for reviewing and validating service provider invoices in accordance with established processes and contractual requirements and preparing check requests after review is complete; maintaining statistical spreadsheets; assisting with preparation of the monthly service invoice; verifying Card One transactions; assisting taxi patrons with debit card problems and handling customer service calls. It may be necessary from time to time for this position torelieve the lobby customer service teller during absences for sick leave and vacations or when necessary for other reasons. This position is expected to provide oversight and will assume lead responsibilities in the absence of the Manager of Fare Revenue. Must also monitor phone queues, number of agents logged onto phone system, and assistwith lobby customers and phone patrons where assistance is necessary and assist the manager with team supervisory responsibilities. This position must be able to take direction and establish priorities within given parameters. Work hours are generally 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Typical Duties: * Assists with oversight of functions related to fare collection, fare media sales and accounting of all fare revenues collected * Assists in directing daily operations of lobby and mail teller functions and customer services related to passenger accounts management. * Assists with training and provides guidance/direction to the finance staff that supports the best results in customer services and report generation. * Tracks and monitors performance by armored car transporter responsible for the secure transportation of collected funds to banking sources. * Tracks and reports daily performance of Broker and Operations call center staff. * Conducts reviews of data generation and using MS Excel or other tools performs reviews to ensure accuracy. * Provides assistance to Manager of Fare Revenue with staff scheduling, staff performance evaluations, and assigning work responsibilities for the facility's accounting staff. * Other duties as required. * Travel requirement outside of immediate area, less than 10 percent: Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED required * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred. * At least 3 years of responsible and high-level performance in accounting, fare sales/transactions, reporting, contract monitoring, contract compliance and related work in the passenger transportation industry is required. * Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws * Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and related laws, ordinances and regulations underlying this aspect of transit operations * Thorough knowledge of the methods of operation of the transit system’s staff and operational departments * Ability to deal with state and local government * Ability to oversee, establish and manage cash handling procedures * Experience with cost control and financial/budget experience handling fast-paced accounting-based operations * Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other financial programs such as Quicken * Good written and oral communication and presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization * Ability to organize and perform work efficiently with strong attention to details * Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to work have some flexibility in work schedule. * Work environment will be 95% indoor office setting. Compensation: Your compensation will be a minimum of $23.50/Hour. We request that you report all hours worked for each period to rationalize the payroll expenditure. Our payroll guidelines require the time spent working in this position does not exceed forty (40) hours within a seven (7) day period. Therefore, any overtime hours must be approved in advance by your immediate supervisor. Hourly wage may be subject to a pay increase of $1.50/Hour (to $25.00 per hour) contingent on successful completion of 180 days of employment and specified and agreed-to performance goals.
