Lead a Team of supply chain professionals managing a global supply chain towards strategic and tactical objectives.Manage all aspect of purchasing to efficiently and cost effectively support organizational operationsDevelop and manage Purchasing policies and proceduresDevelop and manage Purchasing KPIs – review, measure and ensure targets are reachedReview and improve Purchasing processesReview and manage Purchasing related contractsRepresent Purchasing Team in MRB Meetings and provide support for material dispositionCoordinate New Vendor Review processes and review & approve new vendorsManage vendor relationshipsOversee and execute and purchase order cycleEnsure appropriate inventory targets are metAnalyze purchase requirements to determine most favorable purchasing strategyEnsure daily receipts and invoicing discrepancies are addressedIn collaboration with local and corporate management implement strategic initiatives including but not limited to the following:ITAR complianceGlobal trade complianceWorking capital initiativesLean ManufacturingPerform other duties as assignedRequirements
Post-secondary Degree Currently enrolled in or have completed: Supply Management Training, Production and Inventory Management certification, and/or APICS courses5 years of purchasing experience with 3 or more of those years with relevant experience in a manufacturing or a hi-tech electronics environmentExperience with managing large scale, special projects, such as New Product IntroductionExperience with strategic supply-chain activities such as supply planning, sourcing, contracts, and supplier performance managementWorking knowledge of project management principles and practicesKnowledge of Purchasing and Supply Chain Systems and LEAN principlesFinancial acumenExcellent computer skills, high competency level in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with ERP systems, SAP is preferredStrong analytical, critical thinking and complex problem-solving skillsOrganized, self-motivated, and with the ability to work both independently and as a teamExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenCreative and resourcefulStrong interpersonal skillsStrong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentMust be a US Citizen or have Permanent Resident StatusPreferred Skills/Experience:
Strong knowledge of Lean principlesCPIM/CPP/SCMP certification is an advantageWell-rounded exposure to purchasing precision machined components, PCBAs, Optics, and box builds.
