The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the department Manager in maintaining a quality standard of cleanliness in accordance with the policies and procedures of the hospital.

This position is full time and includes working every other weekend: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

This position is located at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.

Requires: 3 years of experience in Housekeeping/Environmental Services related field.

Performs team member functions including:

Interviewing, hiring, selecting, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and terminationsScheduling, training, and payrollOrganizes the receiving, storing, and inventory of supplies to meet service requirementsPlans work schedules and assigns hours and areas of work to ensure adequate services for all areas of the hospitalResponsible for training and supervising environmental services team membersInspects and evaluates the physical condition of the hospital - recommends painting, repairs, furnishing and refurnishing, relocation of equipment and re-allocation of space to improve sanitation, appearance and efficiencyInvestigates and evaluates new environmental procedures, supplies and equipmentResponsible for performing quality control checks to ensure compliance with infection control and regulatory requirements Responsible for maintaining the records for hazardous waste and regulated medical wasteConducts monthly meetings in the absence of the Manager or DirectorOversees the daily huddles and topics of discussionCollaborates with other Managers on the clinical units to gain cooperation for improving HCAHPS scores related to cleanlinessRole model for the Housekeeping team membersMust be able to perform all Housekeeping duties as neededDemonstrates the ability to work independentlyAssumes Manager duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent3 years of experience in Housekeeping/Environmental Services related field Preferred 6 months of experience in a healthcare Lead/Coordinator position and CHEST certification
