Supports the department of Surgical Services in the consistent practice of surgical team assistance. Additional responsibilities include the provision of organizational, communication and assistive skills necessary to facilitate the flow of surgical service activities. These responsibilities include provision of maintenance of instruments, sterility process and support of resources to patients, visitors, physicians, staff and ancillary personnel. Responsible for the maintenance of surgical supplies, order entry functions, and orientation/training of new personnel and collaboration with the healthcare team towards achieving fiscal and quality care goals and of outcomes for the divisions within surgical services. The position also supports the Manager and Director of Surgical Services in the implementation of surgical service activities.

Qualifications
Education/Training/Experience
One year of health care experience in comparable setting. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong education and associated experiential background.
Knowledge of sterility standards, AAMI and AORN
Knowledge of aseptic technique
Licenses/Certifications
Current BLS-HCP
