Our Bagdad operations in Arizona offers housing at a subsidized rate, a family-friendly atmosphere and numerous amenities including an aquatic center, golf course and fitness center. Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial - scale concentrate leach processing facility, as well as one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.  Visit the Bagdad townwebsite (https://bagdadaztown.com/) to learn more. **Description** Under general supervision, performs detailed field surveys at assigned site. + Performs detailed field surveys and may oversee the activities of field survey crews in performing the survey + Maintains accurate notes, records and sketches to describe and certify work performed + Updates appropriate conventional and electronic (GIS) files + Researches previous survey evidence, maps, physical evidence and other records + Recommends methods and procedures for conducting assigned surveys + Prepares and presents findings to Engineering and Operational personnel + Performs other duties as required **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications** + Advanced training or education in surveying, mapping or a related field, **and** one (1) year of surveying experience relevant to assignment **Preferred** + High School diploma or GED **Criteria/Conditions** + Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English + Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards + Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment + Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see + Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to (30) pounds during the course of the workday + Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required + Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws **What We Offer You** The estimated pay range for this role is currently  **$24.00XX - $32.00/hour.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions.
