Systems Engineer I
Under general supervision, accounts for the daily operations of networked systems including troubleshooting, disaster recovery, file, print and user management. Accounts for proactive capacity planning and performance monitoring. Responsible for the design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of operating system and hardware requirements for enterprise applications. Responsible for the day to day operations of multiple enterprise environments and applications. Responsible for the management and maintenance of several server systems and applications for various departmental applications and needs. Assist in Disaster Recovery planning as well as system and file level backups. Participates in after hour and on-call support.

Education:
Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
 

Licensures/Certifications:
Level I Industry Certification (MCSE, VCP, CCA)
 

Experience:
2-3 years of progressive responsibility administering networked computer systems.
 

Skills:
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of basic administrative tasks on multiple platforms and operating systems.
• Skill in project management
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with at least one of the following: server virtualization, Enterprise SAN administration, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
• Familiarity with AD, DNS, DHCP, and networking protocols
• Familiarity with HIPAA HITECH, ITIL, and PMI practices

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Administers networked computer services and disaster recovery through use of relevant hardware and software. Ensures testing of systems and quality control.
• Perform routine tasks such as day-to-day management of data backups, User and e-mail accounts, print Q’s, file shares and file share based applications.
• Maintain basic network services such as DNS, DHCP & WINS services for the enterprise
• Assist with proactive capacity planning and performance monitoring as well as ensure server OS’s are kept up to date with latest relevant patches.
• Assist with the implementation of new systems and ensure that they are included in existing procedures and adhere to existing policies.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and act as second level helpdesk support and maintain documentation library of all relevant systems.
• Leads Disaster Recovery Plan for GBMC.
• Ensures that back-up management is completed.

Pay Range

$72,782.10 - $123,729.56

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
