Sodexo is seeking a Tax Manager for our Facilities Maintenance business.

 You'll play a crucial role in shaping our financial future by:

Analyzing the tax implications of our activities, projects, and investments, ensuring we make informed decisions that drive growth.Minimizing tax liability and maximizing after-tax profits and cash flows, helping us achieve financial excellence.Preparing tax returns and related reports to ensure compliance with all national and local tax laws and regulations, keeping us ahead of the curve. What You'll Do Serve as primary tax contact for Facilities Maintenance services compliance and tax researchEnsure that Sodexo is compliant with state and local sales tax regulationsProvide guidance and direction to division personnel and other departments to increase their understanding of the sales tax process and assist them as needed regarding tax questionsWork with vendors to apply resale certificates appropriatelyReview contracts and proposals to ensure that all sales tax issues have been addressed Involvement in sales tax compliance and research function including preparing and reviewing return filings, account reconciliations, refund claims, and private letter rulingsTrain team members and provide guidance on tax issues, laws, procedures, and research Participate and lead various projects within the department and organizationIdentify and implement tax savings and planning initiativesDevelop and implement proactive process improvements Provide leadership in the development of staff, including performance evaluation reviews Ensure compliance with internal control proceduresMaintain and update Vertex, Taxware-GTD, and SAP as necessary What We Offer

What You Bring Bachelors Degree in Accounting preferred6-8 years of demonstrated in-depth Tax or Accounting experience, including at least 4 years of Sales Tax experience (knowledge of multi-state sales tax laws preferred)Construction, project-based accounting, and/or facilities services experience preferredVertex/Taxware-GTD/SAP experience preferredKnowledge of state and local sales tax lawsStrong technical and analytical skillsExcellent organizational and project management skillsAbility to perform multiple tasks, monitor progress toward meeting objectives, and adjust plans and actions as necessaryExcellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of managementWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, & Access)Demonstrated problem-solving skills and customer service orientationAbility to work interdependently with others to achieve goals and meet deadlinesAbility to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customersHigh degree of initiativeTravel as necessary Who We Are
