Tax Senior Staff - Public
Description We are looking for a tech savvy, forward thinking Senior Tax Accountant to join our client's team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will oversee daily tax operations, provide strategic tax advisory services, and contribute to the growth and success of the firm’s tax practice. Responsibilities: • Deliver strategic tax planning and advisory services to assist clients in minimizing tax liabilities and optimizing their financial strategies. • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented work environment. • Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of various tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Conduct research on complex tax issues, staying informed of changes in tax laws and industry trends. • Provide innovative solutions to address client-specific tax challenges and opportunities. • Manage multiple tax projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality. • Utilize technology and software tools to streamline tax processes and enhance team productivity. • Support the implementation of project management systems to improve workflow and efficiency. • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to team members. • Build strong relationships with clients, offering exceptional service and addressing their tax-related inquiries. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification and active license. • At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in tax preparation, compliance, or advisory services. • Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and best practices. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy. • Proficiency in Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS, SurePrep, QuickBooks Desktop/Online, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Familiarity with project management software, such as Canopy, is a plus.
