Technical Producer, Packaged Video | Reuters News Publishing

Reuters is looking for a Technical Producer with excellent video editing and production skills, and a deep understanding of newsroom technology systems and workflows. The successful candidate will work with a team of producers to create video stories for our digital clients and for Reuters platforms. Experience creating multimedia content for online and social platforms is a plus. This role requires a demonstrated ability to learn new technology, adapt workflows, troubleshoot technical issues and provide training and support to fellow producers. It may include shift, weekend and home work.

Edit and deliver video content as directed by the team leader.

Support the team on editing and software issues.

Provide training on new technology and processes.

Have a good eye for visual storytelling.

Ensure your work is accurate, timely and impartial.

About You
You're a fit for the role of Technical Producer, Packaged Video, if your background includes:

Experience working in a digital newsroom or production unit.

Strong video editing skills, preferably Adobe Premiere.

Some knowledge of After Effects and motion graphics.

Ability to provide training and support to colleagues.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Flair for quickly learning new technology.

Excellent written and spoken English.

The ability to remain calm under pressure.

A track record of being a team player.
