Position Overview
Support the Director, Total Rewards – International and team in the delivery and execution of a comprehensive reward service for Insulet’s International business, in particular Insulet Malaysia’s manufacturing site and co-located functions in Johor Bahru.
The position will offer the opportunity to work alongside experienced Reward and other HR professionals, support them in their daily work, and work to document and deliver a broad range of Total Rewards activities, including training other HR team members in essential Reward processes. The position is for six months fixed term.
Reward Operations
Support the daily management of Total Rewards, including timely resolution of benefits and compensation inquiries. For example, facilitate employees in the matter of medical benefit claims; handle SOCSO claims in compliance with labour laws; respond to employee queries about benefit plan coverage, how to enrol, etc.Support the wider HR team in resolving compensation, benefit and policy issues and disputes. Provide benefits administration support including new hire enrollments, terminations and various other benefit transactions.Provide onboarding and new hire support by guiding managers and all new hires through onboarding course, introducing them to their compensation and benefits at Insulet.Support the Manager, Total Rewards in their management of benefit brokers and vendors, by assisting with Purchase Orders, invoices and other requirements.Support compliance activities, employee communications and coordination of associated data collection, under direction of the Manager, Total Rewards.Compensation, Benefits and Leave Management Data systems in Workday
Collaborate closely with HR Ops and HRIS to ensure that International comp & ben data in Workday is accurate and current. This involves regular reviews and audits of the data, under direction from the Manager, Total Rewards, as well as prompt resolution of any discrepancies or issues that arise.Maintaining employee records and updating HR databases – for example, beneficiary and dependent recordsExpatriate Management Systems
Provide local support for the Manager, Global Mobility (US-based) in administering expats and business travellers, per guidance from the Manager, Total Rewards.Assist with administration and tracking of immigration and visa activity, under guidance of the Manager, Total Rewards.Handle relocation of expatriate management (working closely with Kinetix) including housing, car, dependent pass, bank account set up etc.Support the Manager, Total Rewards in management of split salary expatriate pay
Education and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant qualificationExperience operating and supporting Malaysia compensation and benefits programsService-oriented with a strong process and policy mindset. Able to learn on the job and create job aids, work instructions and process documentation, to guide their own work and that of others.At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources within public company environments with exposure to some or all of: salary management, incentive compensation, employee benefit plans and HR policy writing.Resourceful and thrives in fast paced, nimble organization with ability to self-prioritize; demonstrates strong ability to forge relationships and understand new concepts quicklyExperience with Workday or other HRIS platform, as well as query platforms, e.g. ServiceNowGood skills with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Preferred Skills and Experience:
Manufacturing / Operations sector experience, and experience supporting direct labour / blue collar employees.Communication skills; ability to explain Reward concepts and issues to employees, managers and non-Reward specialists within HR.Ability to work under general guidance to solution routine reward issues and queries, and to collaborate with colleagues on more complex issues.International compensation and benefits experience is advantageous, but not essentialKnowledge, experience and/or qualifications in employee relations, employment law and/or payrollCompensation, benefits, job evaluation and/or HR certifications desirable.
