About the roles

A Flagger / Traffic Safety Technician (TST)  will perform a wide range of traffic control and flagging tasks to provide safety and support to our contractors on job sites or public/private roadways. A Traffic Control Technician  will perform a wide range of traffic control tasks to provide safety and support to our teammates, contractors on job sites or public/private roadways.

 

Job DescriptionUse hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road constructions sitesCommunicate with other Flaggers/ TSTs using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single laneInform the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safetyAppropriately position warning and detour signs around construction sitesSet up barricades and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off certain areasRemove all signs, barricades, and traffic cones upon completion of construction workPerform other related duties as assigned

QualificationsAbility to listen to, understand, and follow directionsAbility to remain flexible as specific assignments changeAbility to work with a variety of personalitiesAbility to work under pressureUnderstanding of basic flagging policies, procedures, rules, and state and federal laws or willing to learnState valid flagging certification card (if you are not certified yet, we can certify you!)Valid driver's license, to operate company equipment/vehicle
