Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $91,000.00 - $121,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

This position is in the Commerce Corporate Treasury Department.  Treasury is responsible for the management of the balance sheet in terms of interest rate risk, liquidity, and capital.  Treasury also produces the Company’s net interest income projection as well as key profitability measures.  Treasury reports to the Company’s CFO.

The main purpose of this job is to support all Treasury functions with an emphasis on interest rate risk analysis. Will also be required to understand and support Funds Transfer Pricing and/or Economic Capital Allocations.

Essential Functions

Analyze more complex model assumptions, market data and bank data used in the ALM software

Identify trends that have higher or lower risk and any changes in the Bank’s interest rate risk position

Field questions from business units regarding calculation of their internal funds transfer pricing

Responsible for analyzing various bank product data sources to ensure accuracy

Identify trends in market data and use statistical analysis to recommend changes to market index equations in the ALM software

Use market value and NII reports from the ALM software and market data to create interest rate risk (IRR) reports for asset liability committee (ALCO)

Write assumption and market equations through programming language using the ALM software

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Intermediate understanding of a bank balance sheet, income forecasting and cash flows in relation to bank products

Intermediate understanding of QRM or ALM concepts

Intermediate understanding of market rates, duration/convexity and market value analyses

Intermediate understanding of statistics

Intermediate understanding of SQL programming language

Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Math or equivalent combination of education and experience required

3+ years’ banking related experience required

3+ years’ experience in a Finance or Treasury role preferred
