Your role at Clorox:
This position is responsible for overseeing the monthly and quarterly performance of Fixed Assets Accounting activities for the US operations. Key duties include executing the capitalization of fixed assets, creating asset shells for IT, CREWS, and R&D departments, and completing internal controls on a monthly and quarterly basis.The role also involves running monthly settlement and depreciation jobs, posting fixed assets reserve calculation entries and reclassifications, managing fixed assets dispositions, sales, and write-offs, and supporting the preparation of fixed assets roll forward and balance sheet analytics at a Total Company level.
In this role, you will:
Provide ongoing support to the Domestic Product Supply Organization to ensure all Capex projects are capitalized correctly in the right period and in compliance with the Fixed Assets Corporate Policy.Perform monthly close activities such as: Capitalizations review, Capex IO settlement run, depreciation run and Fixed Asset reserves journal entries preparation.Perform quarterly close activities such as Fixed Assets Total Company Rollforward and analytics and provide support to Consolidations Accounting on any cash flow requirements related to PP&E.Timely delivery quarterly and annual Fixed Assets PBC requests and provide support/clarification to the external auditors.Coordinate and perform annual physical inventory and Total Company Asset Retirement Obligation processes based in the Clorox Corporate Procedures.Perform special project work to identify and implement efficiencies in the Fixed Asset Accounting activities.#LI-Hybrid
What we look for:
3 - 4 years of Accounting experienceAdvanced English levelSAP, Group Reporting or other ERP systems experience preferred.Strong attention to detail resulting in consistently reliable, accurate and thorough work.Planning and organization skills with ability to prioritize.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to identify and implement process improvements.Knowledge of accounting policies, US GAAP and financial statements.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft ExcelWorkplace type:
