Utility Inspector
We are seeking a dedicated Field Utility Inspector to join our team in Edison, NJ.

This position involves going door to door to inspect water mains and other structures to ensure structural soundness, safety, and compliance with regulations.

The role requires you to have a car and drive your own vehicle from site to site, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities:

Conduct door-to-door inspections of water mains and structures such as roads, dams, and bridges for structural soundness and compliance with codes.Document inspection results, noting any deterioration, structural conditions, or deficiencies.Monitor construction progress and contribute to project status reports.Oversee and coordinate construction-related services on projects.Conduct on-site investigations and review relevant data, including maps, reports, and drawings.Comply with guidelines and regulations, including permits and safety measures, and deliver technical documentation as required.

Work Environment:

The position involves canvassing and surveying areas, with inspections of pipes and photo documentation.

A mobile app on a tablet will guide the process.

Work hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime.

The role requires a vehicle, with mileage reimbursed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
