With compassion, innovation, and collaboration at our core, we are proud to play a vital role in supporting our community and advancing veterinary medicine.   As a Veterinary Technician in the Internal Medicine department, some duties you will be responsible for include: + Provide compassionate care and monitoring for animals admitted to the internal medicine department. + Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures including blood work, imaging, and endoscopy. + Administer medications, IV fluids, and wound care treatments under veterinarian supervision. + Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering guidance on their pet’s condition and treatment options. + Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterilized. + Assist veterinarians during procedures such as biopsies and aspiration cytology. + Stay updated on advancements in internal medicine through continuing education. + Collaborate closely with other veterinary professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. + Advocate for the well-being of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment. + Other duties as assigned. Compensation: + Up to $40 hourly  + $5.50/hr paid differential for any hours worked between 6pm-6am Basic required qualifications: + High school diploma + Valid and current Registered Veterinary Technician license in the state of California is highly preferred + Calm, professional demeanor. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Reliable time management and problem-solving skills; working efficiently and effectively throughout the hospital. + Multi-task various duties and responsibilities in a timely and reliable manner, with appropriate follow-through and accuracy. + Ability to work well independently as well as with a team. + Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations + High level of venipuncture skills, math calculations, and patient handling Preferred qualifications: Experience in Specialty Veterinary Medicine, with a focus on internal medicine.
