The Vice President of Enterprise Services is tasked with setting the strategic direction and roadmap for all IT application development, products and services related to enterprise and business functions across the company. This position entails overseeing Suddath's enterprise IT product development, architectural framework, and organization-wide services which support business strategies, improve employee efficiency, and accelerate the time-to-market for new product capabilities. The VP of Enterprise Services will collaborate with management and various departments to identify, propose, develop, implement, and sustain technologically effective and cost-efficient solutions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and govern the organization's IT product strategy and development reference architecture (framework), ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals, and optimizing technology for improved business operations and customer satisfaction.
Financial Management: Oversee annual profit and loss statements and budgeting processes, approving financial decisions to drive cost reduction and meet budget expectations.
Architectural Principles: Establish and govern technology architectural standards to support the growth of the organization's IT assets, processes, development best practices, and capabilities, including design, implementation, and operation.
Service Delivery: Manage the delivery of all IT products, applications, integrations, and related operations, ensuring scalability, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with key stakeholders, acting as an advisor and ensuring that IT services meet business requirements.
Innovation: Implement innovative capabilities to enhance competitive advantage and increase employee productivity.
Governance: Participate in IT planning and policy-making committees, promoting the development and adoption of technology standards, governance procedures, and performance metrics.
Project Management: Allocate resources for project-related activities, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of IT professionals, including Business Program Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and other relevant roles, with matrix reporting and influencing responsibilities.
Data Management: Manage Data Analysts supporting enterprise data marts and data lakes.
Development and Cloud Operations: Oversee efficient development releases, code repository management, and optimal operation and financial management of cloud operations (Azure).
Risk Management: Identify and manage risks and issues, ensuring projects are planned and executed according to organizational standards.
Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables adhere to quality standards and reference architectural benchmarks.
Training & Support: Develop and maintain operational support plans, including training programs for business and operational teams.
Job Skills Required:
Skills: Proficiency in software design, application architecture, development processes, requirements analysis, and process enhancement.Leadership: Experience navigating matrix reporting structures and leading cross-functional teams effectively.Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:
Over 10 years of experience in managing extensive IT programs, architecture products, integrations, with strong business acumen and leadership through influence. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience:
Background in logistics, transportation, or related industries is advantageous.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises multiple employees in the Technology department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Travel:
