Collectively, we are committed to a simple management approach, which influences our company culture and our management style. **VMI Driver - Askew Industrial Corporation an AFC Industries Company for our Santa Fe Springs, CA location.** Brief Description: + The VMI Driver is responsible for the daily delivery of parts to our customers, daily pick-ups/drop-offs to & from vendors. + The VMI Driver will maintain a safe & clean vehicle at all times. + Mandatory accident reporting, vehicle inspection reports, responsible driving at all times. + Adherence to all traffic laws + Report daily scanning of low or zero inventory using RF scanner during daily delivery runs. + Report any communication from customer to WHM to update customer account Job Responsibilities: + Responsible for pickup and delivery of material in the company vehicle. + May service Askew’s bin Stocking Customers where applicable. + Must maintain a clean & organized environment product is stored in the customer’s facility. + Perform and support all warehouse departments as directed by the Warehouse Manager, including: + Receiving + Order Processing + Packaging + Kitting + Inventory Control + Housekeeping + Responsible for pickup and delivery of material in the company vehicle. + May service Askew’s bin Stocking Customers where applicable. + Must maintain a clean & organized environment product is stored in the customer’s facility. + Perform and support all warehouse departments as directed by the Warehouse Manager, including: + Receiving + Order Processing + Packaging + Kitting + Inventory Control + Housekeeping + Must have at least 1 year of experience driving each of the vehicles listed below: + Pick-up trucks with a flat bed + 16-18 ft. diesel trucks + 26 ft. diesel truck + Sprinter van + Electric pallet jack + Must have at least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment + Must have extensive knowledge of DOT regulations, rules of the road, scales, accident reporting Education/Credentials: + High School Diploma or equivalent + Must be at least 18 years of age + Experience utilizing navigational apps (Google Maps, Waze, MapQuest, Apple Maps) + Clean DMV record with no recent tickets or citations within the last 7 years + NO DUI’s, license suspensions, or license revocations within the last 10 years + Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds of uneven weight + Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time + Required to perform non-driver duties as directed through management + Good communication skills, written/ verbal required + Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations + Ability to read, write, and speak the English language is required + Ability to work independently + Basic computer skills are required + Must wear uniform when on the clock, performing duties under AFC name (company provided) + Steel toe/Safety boots/shoes are required (company reimbursement up to 150.00 if needed) + Safety vest & safety goggles required (provided by company) Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Position: Full-time Hourly Pay: $18.00-$20.00 depending upon experience Benefits: + 401(k) + 401(k) matching + Dental insurance + Flexible spending account + Health insurance + Life insurance + Paid time off + Vision insurance _We are an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled employer._ \#AFC123
