VP, AI & Engineering Enablement
Reporting to the SVP, Chief Technology Officer, this position will lead the strategy and practice of enabling the use of AI across the enterprise and establishing common practices and tooling for digital and core development. This leader will oversee the creation of new AI enabled products and solutions, leveraging data, technology, and industry best practices to improve existing applications or deliver entirely new offerings. Additionally, the incumbent will champion engineering excellence through the adoption of cutting-edge methodologies, tools, and practices while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Lastly, this position will lead the overall engineering strategy for the Custom UX Development. This role requires a visionary leader who combines technical expertise in AI and deep expertise in engineering practices with a strong understanding of market trends and a proven track record of working with business leaders to develop and implement solutions to drive efficiency and deliver delightful client/advisor experiences. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  AI Integration : Work closely with business leaders to understand challenges and d rive the adoption of ethical AI technologies across engineering initiatives to enhance product capabilities and c lient experiences. Identify emerging technology, capabilities, and partnerships that support scale, optimization, experimentation, branding, and market positioning. Engineering Enablement : Leverage a deep understand ing of DevOps and Product practices to f oster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices, training programs, and enterprise collaboration that empower teams to excel in delivery and innovation. Engineering Vision & Strategy : Own and drive the p roduct architecture & technical vision that help s enhance the digital experience , optimize corporate financials, and distinguish company expertise . Provides technical thought leadership to identity emerging technical and capability solutions and shape the technology strategy. Lead Transformative Change: Lead organizational and technological change through inspiration, positive influence, establishing a culture of accountability and effective change management. Collaboration: Promotes collaboration and provides opportunities to recognize and celebrate successes. Identify , cultivate, and shape customer relationships and opportunities, leading capture efforts for new or emerging technologies/capabilities and differentiated acquisition/delivery methods. Partner & Vendor Relationships: Partner in the management of all relevant agency and vendor relationships including vendor due diligence, vendor selection, implementation and applicable licensure compliance. Talent Management: Recruit, develop, and sustain a high-performing team while promoting a culture of collaboration, shared accountability, operational excellence and partnership across the organization . QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:    Required: + Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience. + 2 0+ years of work experience in information t echnology , to include leading a large technology and applications development organization . Strong background in implementing A rtificial Technology (AI) at Fortune 500 companies. + 5+ years of leadership experience working closely with senior business leaders to driv e the adoption of new technical solutions + Creative and self-motivated + Bias for action and results-driven + ​ ​ Demonstrated track record of driving significant organizational change + ​ Strong business partnership and collaboration skills + ​ Advanced analytical/technical knowledge + ​ Solid communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence key partners ​ ​ Preferred: + Advanced degree + Experience working in financial services or an adjacent industry + Experience leading technology in an agile engineering organization Pay Transparency Thrivent’s long-term growth depends on attracting, rewarding, and retaining people who are committed to helping others thrive with purpose. The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $242,643.00 - $363,964.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
