HDR has an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced water industry professional to serve in a leadership position as our North Texas Wastewater Team Lead. You will be responsible for leading and growing the Wastewater team in North Texas and supporting the North Texas Wastewater Business Class Lead. This role will support other projects in the area and work with the Water Business Group Manager, Professional Services Lead, Project Delivery Lead, Market Sector Leads, and Client Development Lead on the development and implementation of technical and business development strategies. The work products in this area are broad and are expected to include master planning through design and support during construction. Your primary duties will include pursuing and securing opportunities with new and existing clients, mentoring staff, delivering projects, and growing the business portfolio. Providing leadership through mentoring, directing, and delegating to staff is a key component of the role as is maintaining focus on the execution of HDR’s growth strategy.

In the role of a Wastewater Team Lead, we’ll count on you to:

Assist in the responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing supportMay function as a Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager, Design Engineer and assist in responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilitiesAssist with administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sectionsBe involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviewsBe directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issuesAssist in ensuring that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management systemImplement, monitor and support company policyAssist in the selection, training, development and management of technical personnelWork cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production effortsPerform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

TX PE or ability to obtain reciprocity Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 7 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
