Airswift is looking for a Water Injection Systems Specialist to work on a permanent contract in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, Mexico, with a drilling services company.
This professional will ensure operational efficiency, safety, regulatory compliance and environmental sustainability in offshore water injection plant operations, applying advanced knowledge of secondary recovery to optimize hydrocarbon production in oil fields.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


- Evaluating and selecting candidate wells for injection and production.
Designing and operating injection plants
- Supervising complete water treatment processes (filtration, desulphation, deaeration, biocides, inhibitors).
- Managing the operation of high-pressure pumping systems (multistage centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps (plunger or piston)).
- Strictly monitor the quality of the injected water (suspended solids, dissolved oxygen, bacteria).
- Continuously evaluate the efficiency of the system by means of the injectivity index and fracture pressure analysis, knowledge of (sensors, SCADA).
- Carry out advanced characterization of the reservoir (porosity, permeability, stratification).
- Ensure the compatibility of the water with the formation to avoid blockages or damage to the reservoir.
- Conduct numerical flow simulations to optimize sweep patterns.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Petroleum, chemical, mechanical or similar engineering.
Advanced English
Experience in the design, operation and maintenance of offshore water injection systems in oil fields, with a specific focus on secondary recovery.
Advanced technical principles of secondary recovery by water injection.
Comprehensive design of offshore water treatment and injection plants.
Proficiency in high-pressure offshore equipment and systems.
Advanced numerical simulation for analyzing reservoir behavior.
Specialized knowledge of international and national safety and environmental standards.
- In-depth technical proficiency in secondary recovery and water injection in offshore conditions.
- Proven experience in managing offshore projects with high safety and environmental standards.
- High capacity for technical and operational analysis to ensure system efficiency in critical conditions.
- Advanced handling of specialized software (PipeSim, Eclipse, OLGA).
