Join Capgemini Engineering as a Web Automation Test Engineer and work with groundbreaking technology in a collaborative environment. You'll develop and maintain test automation practices and tools for client web applications.As a Senior Product Software Engineer, you will lead test automation for the web SDET team. This position contributes to success of the client's web application by developing, implementing, and sustaining test automation, practices, methods, tools and controls in support of the web mobile application development team. The web Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) works as a primary liaison between the web SDET team and all other work streams. Considers complete ownership for the automation needs and works closely with the team developing complex UI, API, CI, and environmental systems test automation.

Your RoleDevelop, complete, and maintain comprehensive regression test cases to validate new and existing functionalities across our technology platforms.Build and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Participate in test case reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall product quality and develop web UI automation using JavaScript and Node.js.Develop new automation frameworks, improve existing ones, and implement automated test suites and test cases within those frameworks.Identify, document, and report software defects, collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues. Conduct detailed manual testing to verify system integrity following code changes and updates.Develop, maintain, and complete automated test scripts. Analyze test results, produce informative reports, and suggest ways to elevate software quality. Ensure alignment with software testing standards and industry guidelines in the QA process.Lead and mentor junior QA team members, encouraging a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.Your skills and experienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.7 years of experience in software testing and automation, with at least 2 years in a lead role.Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques and methodologies, and an excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA processes.Demonstrated experience in crafting and driving test plans, test cases, and test scripts.Develop, maintain, and complete automated test scripts.Experience with defect tracking tools and test management systems, and Maestro or equivalent mobile application testing tool.Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps and experience with HTTP Proxy applications such as Charles/Fiddler..Experience with performance testing and load testing tools like JMeter.ISTQB certification or equivalent.Life at Capgemini

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $83,600-$179,000. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
