Job Description
In this position, candidates will utilize their welding and fabrication experience daily. The role involves working on a variety of products such as tillage equipment, storage tanks, fertilizer spreaders, HVAC equipment for ethanol plants, and other custom metal products. With such diverse products being manufactured, candidates can expect a change in projects from week to week.
ResponsibilitiesWeld on agricultural equipment using MIG welders.Train on or learn to interpret blueprints to layout products.Collaborate with other welders and leads to complete projects efficiently.Fabricate material and clean up welds using a grinder.Operate an overhead crane as needed to move products.Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient product flow.Assist in training new hires once comfortable.Essential SkillsExperience in welding and fabrication, particularly in a production setting.Proficiency in wirefeed welding and the ability to set up and adjust a welding machine.Familiarity with MIG welding, blueprint reading, and layout.Additional Skills & QualificationsBlueprint and layout experience is a significant advantage.Prior welding experience or education is required.Experience with various welding tools and techniques, including press brake, farming, shop class, and metal fabrication.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Employees generally find the work environment to be cooperative and supportive. The shop maintains a comfortable temperature, even during hot weeks. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional half-day Fridays. Currently, the workload is consistent with about 50 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, North Dakota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
