**Job Title: Workday Test Lead** **Location: Chicago, IL** **Duration: 6+ Months** **Job Description:** We are seeking a seasoned Workday Test Lead to support a major Workday migration project. This onshore, Chicago-based role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in Workday testing—spanning functional testing, data migration, and configuration validation. Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential, along with the ability to drive quality across multiple workstreams and modules. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead and manage end-to-end Workday testing efforts across various modules, including Core HCM, Payroll, Absence, Recruiting, and Compensation. + Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts. + Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing, ensuring thorough coverage. + Drive automation testing efforts using Selenium (Using Selenium and other associated coding based automation tools, framework)and API testing tools like RestAssured and ReadyAPI. + Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to align testing with overall project goals. + Identify and document defects, oversee resolution processes, and manage test-related risks. + Provide clear and regular testing status updates to stakeholders and leadership. + Mentor and support junior testers, ensuring quality and consistency across the team. + Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and internal QA processes. **Qualifications:** + Extensive hands-on experience in Workday testing, particularly in functional, data migration, and validation testing. + Familiarity with automation frameworks and DevOps pipelines. + Strong working knowledge of key Workday modules. + Proven data-solving, organizational, and communication skills. + Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced, enterprise environments. + Strong client-facing presence and ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Prior experience in HR systems implementation and migration projects. + Background in the airline or transportation industry is a significant plus.
