Job Title: X-ray Technologist
Job Description

As an X-ray Technologist, you will prepare patients for exams, adjust immobilization devices, and apply appropriate radiation shielding. You will be responsible for calculating and selecting proper technical factors, using correct film/screen combinations, processing, and developing film. Your role involves entering data into the MARS system for medical records, billing, statistics, and quality assurance purposes. You will also provide guidance to radiology students as needed and maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring the exam room is well-stocked with necessary supplies.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for radiological exams.Adjust immobilization devices and apply radiation shielding.Calculate and select proper technical factors and film/screen combinations.Process and develop radiographic film.Enter data into the MARS system for various purposes.Provide guidance to radiology students.Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Ensure exam rooms have necessary supplies for diagnostic procedures.Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and scheduling exams.Report equipment malfunctions to supervisory personnel.Essential SkillsRegistry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Experience with portable X-ray equipment.Experience with GE or SIEMENS imaging systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s degree or one to three years of formal training in an American Medical Association accredited Radiologic Technology Program is required.Minimum of two years of previous job experience.Work Environment

The work environment is in the Operating Room (OR), and any experience within the OR is highly valued. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Enjoy the benefit of paid parking. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $72.00/hr.
